But fixing the wrongs of the past takes time, and learning to forgive one&#8217;s self is damn near impossible.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family:Times New Roman;font-size:medium;\">Visit old friends in this harrowing sequel to Desert Rice, in which award-winning author Angela Scott brings back the characters so many readers have loved.<\/span><\/div>\n<h3>Review:<\/h3>\n<p>Desert Flower was a truly captavating story.&nbsp; It takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride.&nbsp; You really learn to develop emotional ties to all of the characters.&nbsp; The wonderful love triangle between Carson, Turner and Sam is wonderfully done.&nbsp; You really cannot predict who Sam will choose.&nbsp; You understand the choices that Sam must make, but you don&#8217;t always agree with her reasoning. &nbsp; I did not get a chance to read Desert Rice but after having read Desert Flower I feel I want to go back to how everything started.&nbsp; Sam&#8217;s emotional baggage is so intense that you truly would never with that kind of trama on even your worst enemy.<\/p>\n<p>Angela Scott is such a gifted story teller.&nbsp; Her ability to weave a story and develop characters is on par with authors such as Nicholas Sparks and Richard Paul Evans.&nbsp; She has an uncanny ability to draw in the reader and take them on an emotional and almost physical journey through the tough life choices that are contaminated with a past that would be tough for an adult let alone a teenager.&nbsp; Desert Flower is a stand alone book, but after you read it you will be like me and want to go pick up Desert Rice to see where everything started.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to thank Reading Additiction Blog Tours for letting me review this fantastic book.&nbsp; For more inforamtion about Angela Scott be sure to check out her links below.&nbsp; For more information about Desert Flower<\/p>\n<h3>Author Bio:<\/h3>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-size:small;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/me.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1415\" alt=\"me\" src=\"http:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/03\/me.jpg\" width=\"195\" height=\"129\" \/><\/a>I hear voices. Tiny fictional people sit on my shoulders and whisper their stories in my ear. Instead of medicating myself, I decided to pick up a pen, write down everything those voices tell me, and turn it into a book. I\u2019m not crazy. I\u2019m an author. For the most part, I write contemporary Young Adult novels. However, through a writing exercise that spiraled out of control, I found myself writing about zombies terrorizing the Wild Wild West\u2014and loving it. My zombies don\u2019t sparkle, and they definitely don\u2019t cuddle. At least, I wouldn\u2019t suggest it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">I live on the benches of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains with two lovely children, one teenager, and a very patient husband. I graduated from Utah State University with a B.A. degree in English, not because of my love for the written word, but because it was the only major that didn\u2019t require math. I can\u2019t spell, and grammar is my arch nemesis. But they gave me the degree, and there are no take backs.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">As a child, I never sucked on a pacifier; I chewed on a pencil. I\u2019ve been writing that long.
