But this time Neal vows the outcome will be different.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0Review:<\/h3>\n<p><em>Bad Apple<\/em> was a very touching and emotional book.\u00a0 Barbara Morgenroth&#8217;s strong characters and story meld together to bring a hear wrenching story.\u00a0 Neal and Truly&#8217;s story is just beginning and I loved the flow of their relationship.\u00a0 The reader really is dragged through emotional mud and you really feel for Neal&#8217;s upbringing.\u00a0 She is constantly on watch from her psychotic adoptive family and emotionally unstable step-mother.\u00a0 Her only beacon of hope is her Aunt who in turn helps her by encouraging her to join Truly&#8217;s band.\u00a0 I really enjoyed the addition of the musical element into a painful story such as Neal&#8217;s.\u00a0 I have to say though I do wish it had been a longer story.\u00a0 I felt that there could have been more, but I guess that is what the next book is for.\u00a0 I wholly encourage you to go out and read this wonderful story of survival and learning that not all people are bad.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d like to thank Bewitching Book tours for giving me this spot on the tour.\u00a0 I would also like to thank Barbara Morgenroth for letting me spotlight her and <em>Bad Apple<\/em>.\u00a0 For more information about Bad Apple you can go to Barnes and Noble, Amazon and any other book retailer.<\/p>\n<h3>\u00a0<b>About the Author:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>Barbara was born in New York City and but now lives somewhere else. By now, she thinks of herself as a country girl and knows more about gardening and animals than how to ride the subway.<\/p>\n<p>Starting her career by writing tweens and YA books, (and did the cover photography for her first two books published by Atheneum so continuing to do the covers to her ebooks is predictable), she was actually aiming at the small screen. Television seemed like the perfect place for her even if she had no clue how to get there. Life is funny and often presents opportunities. Advice&#8211;Grab Them! Through a neighbor, Barbara wound up getting an introduction to a lower honcho at ABC and an audition to write for them. Her hopes were more than dashed, they were disintegrated, evaporated, demolished when ABC couldn&#8217;t find a place for Barbara on General Hospital. (No Luke and Laura in her future!) To ease the crushing disappointment, Barbara wrote \u201cIn Real Life I&#8217;m Just Kate\u201d about a 17 year old girl who becomes a star on a soap opera. That became an open sesame moment and shortly thereafter Barbara became the last headwriter for NBC&#8217;s daytime serial, The Doctors, where she was ordered by the network to kill Alec Baldwin, shooting him not once but twice. With two different guns.
