Today I have the immense pleasure to review for you guys a wonderful Young Adult Paranormal book, Family Magic<\/em>.\u00a0 This is the first book in the Hayle Coven series.\u00a0 It was extremely enjoyable and definitely a story that is very hard to put down.\u00a0 Be sure to check out my whole review after the book blurb.<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h3>\n

I really enjoyed Patti Larsen’s Family Magic<\/em>.\u00a0 I think the story was engaging and kept you moving along with the characters.\u00a0 The characters are very well written.\u00a0 I know that teen angst is always difficult to make believable, but Syd’s angst and troubles with her mother was very relatable.\u00a0\u00a0 I can guarantee any teenager will tell you they have felt the way Syd does and they don’t have magical powers to top their list of problems.\u00a0 I also really liked that Patti added in some really good core values of what every teen should take to heart.\u00a0 Things like being yourself and accepting yourself and others will make things a whole lot better.\u00a0 I thought this was a great pep talk that just so happened to have witches and vampires.\u00a0 Overall, this was a great story and I would definitely recommend this to teenagers, parents of teenagers and anyone else who ever felt they were different and had trouble fitting in.<\/p>\n

I’m a storyteller who hears teenager’s voices so loud I have to write them down. I love sports even though they don’t love me.
