Will Britannia be able to hold back her vengeance for the greater good?Is survivor Josh the reincarnation of Britannia&#8217;s murdered true love? And can she bring herself to deliver him to the &#8220;safe&#8221; hold?<\/p>\n<p>Survival instincts run deep, but bad blood can run deeper.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Review:<\/h3>\n<p>In Bad Blood, we are first introduced to Britannia.\u00a0 She is hunting another of her kind.\u00a0 She is a vampire and her mission in life is to kill all those who her creator created die.\u00a0 That is until she is forced to work with him in an effort to save surviving humans from becoming zombies.\u00a0 A terrible plague is unleashed that makes humans become zombies.\u00a0 This is a problem since vampires cannot drink the infected blood.\u00a0 So, essentially she and her creator, Nicholas must save\/herd\u00a0as many humans as possible.\u00a0 Along the way she begins to develop bonds with her newly acquired wards.\u00a0 One in particular reminds her of her one and only love that she lost hundreds of years ago.\u00a0 So, between fighting her instincts to battle with Nicholas, run into the arms of her look-alike love and battling zombies Britannia must come to terms with how her life has been and how it will be now that the world has changed.<\/p>\n<p>I really enjoyed this book.\u00a0 I felt the characters and storyline was addictive and I can&#8217;t wait for the next book.\u00a0 By the end of the book I was dying to know who Britannia had chosen or if she was referring to Jack\/Danny.\u00a0 I also, loved the noticeable development that Britannia had as the story grew.\u00a0 She grew as a character through trials but also she realized that her solitary life didn&#8217;t need to be so solitary.\u00a0 She saw in the span of just those couple of days that her life could be so much more than it was.\u00a0 I did find it a little funny how everyone accepted what Britannia and Nicholas were so easily.\u00a0 That part was a bit comical if not unrealistic.\u00a0 Overall, this quick and addictive read is excellent for vampire fans.\u00a0 You will be like me and want to write to Nicky immediately demanding the next book.<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/08\/4958833.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1676\" alt=\"4958833\" src=\"http:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/08\/4958833.jpg?w=150\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Author Bio:\u00a0 (Courtesy of Goodreads)<\/h3>\n<p>I&#8217;ve so far been published in 5 countries: USA, UK, Australia, Ireland and Canada and had twenty five short stories included in 45 anthologies with over 25 publishers.<\/p>\n<p>My first lone author book, Bad Blood, will be released through Noble &amp; Young in May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Friday!\u00a0 I hope everyone had a wonderful week and is ready for a nice weekend.\u00a0 So, to start off your weekend I am spotlighting a great book and author today.\u00a0 Nicky Peacock and her book Bad Blood is a great paranormal romance.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a\u00a0quick read and a wonderful story.\u00a0 I know I will be&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[2,3],"tags":[158,1127,1174,1733,1817],"class_list":["post-1675","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-author-profiles","category-book-reviews","tag-bad-blood","tag-nicky-peacock","tag-paranormal-romance","tag-vampires","tag-zombies"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
