Keenan is raised to defend his clan and die.<\/p>\n<p><em>Serena and Keenan hunt a loyalist murderer before the Battle of Culloden and fall in love despite the prophecy&#8217;s warning that she heralds his death.<em><\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>We first meet Serena as her mother is casting a spell to throw her and her sisters to different times to protect them.\u00a0 She is given one of her mother&#8217;s powers to hold and develop.\u00a0 Her power is the power to read minds and intentions.\u00a0 Serena literally drops in and is raised by the Romany (Gypsy) people.\u00a0 Thirteen years later she is performing when she meets Keenan.\u00a0 Automatically things are different with him.\u00a0 She cannot read him or feel his emotions.\u00a0 Keenan recognizes her as the woman who should be his.\u00a0 When a series of tragic events happen, \u00a0Serena and Keenan are tied together to clear her brother&#8217;s name.\u00a0 While they\u00a0try to clear his name it becomes clear that Serena is part of a prophecy that\u00a0has been integral to Keenan&#8217;s life.\u00a0 Though his role is different in the prophecy he can&#8217;t help himself from the beautiful witch who is turning his world on its side.\u00a0 Can Keenan and Serena fight both the English and an\u00a0ages old prophecy to be together\u00a0or will their decisions be\u00a0made for them by separating them forever?<\/p>\n<p>This was a\u00a0quick entertaining read.\u00a0 I loved the story and the characters.\u00a0 Serena is a wonderful heroine that really is able to hold her own when dealing with the overbearing\u00a0Highlanders. Keenan is everything you want in a sexy Highland warrior.\u00a0 The two together really ignite the pages and allow for a wonderful story.\u00a0 There were a few items that are left hanging with this story but\u00a0I believe it has more to do with people whose stories will be coming\u00a0up.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want to say too much to spoil\u00a0the story.\u00a0\u00a0I really think this\u00a0was a great first book in the series.\u00a0 It sets us up to see what will happen next with the sisters.\u00a0 I suspect they will be\u00a0equally awesome and their men equally\u00a0sexy.\u00a0 Though I personally have a thing for the highland warrior, I do look forward to reading more of this\u00a0series.\u00a0 Overall, this is a wonderful read that will throw you into a world that you can only dream about.\u00a0 You will no doubt love the story and the characters while\u00a0getting warm, squishy feelings for those Highland warriors.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/11\/4185696.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-1988\" alt=\"4185696\" src=\"http:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/11\/4185696.jpg\" width=\"205\" height=\"205\" \/><\/a>Author Bio:<\/h2>\n<p>Heather McCollum is an award winning, historical paranormal romance writer.
