A romance novel with a twist of suspense that will take you on a roller coaster ride of passion, deception and love.<\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Anna Leyton is an Interpol cop that has a jaded past.\u00a0 When she is leaving Scotland Yard, one day she is attempting to hail\u00a0a cab. As she finally gets a cab an obnoxious Frenchman tried to take it from her.\u00a0 When she takes a closer look she realizes he is an extremely hot guy who is clearly not only French but also American.\u00a0 Before Anna knows it she is developing a report\u00a0with this stranger who is very much becoming less of a stranger.\u00a0 After having a drink with her handsome stranger she goes home with hopes that Freddie LaSalle will use the number she gave him.<\/p>\n<p>Anna is soon assigned to a special assignment that she doesn&#8217;t realize at first is connected to\u00a0Freddie, a very famous boxer.\u00a0 Once the dots are connected she readily volunteers to go undercover to find the information her task force needs from Freddie and his connections.\u00a0 Soon the lines get blurred for Anna.\u00a0 She begins to fall for the boxer with more depth than anyone knows.\u00a0 With Freddie&#8217;s upcoming fight, the mob circling, Interpol and a number of other dangers Anna&#8217;s true danger is that to her heart.\u00a0 Can Anna build\u00a0a relationship on the lies she&#8217;s told or will she lose both her life and her heart to an enigmatic boxer named Freddie LaSalle?<\/p>\n<p>This was a very enjoyable story.\u00a0 I liked the relationship between Freddie and Anna.\u00a0 Though the love story is very quick it is also very steamy.\u00a0 I would say that even though I loved this story the love story part moved incredibly fast.\u00a0 So fast that I felt overwhelmed and it made the story a tad bit unbelievable at that moment.\u00a0 Though the love story is whimsical in its quickness the suspense portion with the dangers of the mob was very well done.\u00a0 Emma Calin also does a fantastic job with her descriptions of London, France and California.\u00a0 The scenery almost becomes a character unto itself.\u00a0 Overall, this is a very enjoyable romance story.\u00a0\u00a0 I would definitely trade a day in Anna&#8217;s shoes with the very hot Freddie!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I&#8217;m reviewing for your pleasure and mine Knockout\u00a0by Emma Calin.\u00a0 This is a good romantic read.\u00a0 The story is quick-moving and very steamy.\u00a0 Be sure to checkout the rest of my review after the book blurb.\u00a0 I think this is the perfect book for hump day!\u00a0 Yes, pun intended.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42 Book Blurb: Interpol cop,&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[349,503,881],"class_list":["post-1996","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-contemporary-romance","tag-emma-calin","tag-knockout"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Review: Knockout!
