When they meet again at her debutante ball she finds her feelings remain the same, and to her joy he is mesmerized by her. Is her love strong enough to tear down all his walls?<\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Fanny or Lady Francesca Darling as she is known to the ton has loved Devlin Ross since she was five.\u00a0 Having figured she was already passed this she doesn&#8217;t expect to run into him at her coming out ball.\u00a0 Let alone run into him on a darkened balcony.\u00a0 Fanny immediately recognizes the newly returned Devlin.\u00a0 She treats him as she as always treated him, like part of the family.\u00a0 Devlin doesn&#8217;t recognize Fanny until her Uncle Rake catches them in a possibly compromising position.\u00a0 Once he realizes who it is he can&#8217;t keep his mind or his heart away from Fanny.\u00a0 But, his upbringing gives him much to pause about.\u00a0 He refuses to be like his father so he devises a plan to ensure\u00a0his children aren&#8217;t influenced by the evil that influenced his growing up.\u00a0 So through Fanny&#8217;s family&#8217;s interfering and over protective ways, Fanny and Devlin find their way together.\u00a0 But, when Fanny throws Devlin a curve ball he is forced to go through with his crazy plan.\u00a0 Fanny refuses to let him get away that easily.\u00a0 Can Fanny and Devlin find their way or will they both end up broken-hearted.<\/p>\n<p>I adored Fanny and Devlin.\u00a0 Though Fanny is like a lovesick puppy at times she is also fearless and very admirable.\u00a0 Devlin on the other hand is one that changes from the beginning to the end.\u00a0 It isn&#8217;t just Fanny and Devlin who make this story so memorable.\u00a0 Her family is an intrigal\u00a0part of the story and of her life.\u00a0 They are an entity unto themselves and are very entertaining.\u00a0 I can see Rake and Penny&#8217;s story coming and I can&#8217;t wait.\u00a0 I think Jennifer Wenn\u00a0has a really good thing going with these characters and prospective storylines.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re looking\u00a0for your next good historical love story I definitely suggest picking up Fanny and Devlin&#8217;s story.\u00a0 You will fall in love with them along with all the other characters in Jennifer Wenn&#8217;s <em>A Family Affair<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know today&#8217;s post is late today, but I figure you can have your coffee with dessert tonight.\u00a0 Today&#8217;s review is a wonderful historical romance by Jennifer Wenn, A Family Affair.\u00a0 The characters are enchanting and the story is well-developed.\u00a0 I truly can&#8217;t wait for the next one from Jennifer Wenn.\u00a0 With this review I&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[30,705,796],"class_list":["post-2029","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-a-family-affair","tag-historical-romance","tag-jennifer-wenn"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
