When Jaxon James, a sexy rock star and struggling single-father, is invited to ditch California and spend Christmas in Tennessee with his estranged family, he hesitantly accepts for his young daughter\u2019s sake.<\/p>\n

But his attraction to his best friend\u2019s baby sister, Lily Elstone, threatens to unravel the bonds he\u2019s made for his daughter. The honorable thing to do would be to give up Lily. But his instincts are telling him she\u2019s exactly the one who could bring light to his life and the missing fire to his bed.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Lily’s too sweet for his world. He fears his rock and roll life style will taint her. How far are Jaxon and Lily willing to go to find what\u2019s missing at home?<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

This was a great follow-up to Sidewalk Flower.\u00a0 We meet Lily again as she is pulling up to Trista and Lucky’s house.\u00a0 Though Lily is fearful of her sister’s rejection she really had nothing to feel.\u00a0 She is welcomed into her sister life with open arms.\u00a0 After five months of living with her sister and her husband Lily realizes that something is missing in Trista’s life.\u00a0 She sees the excitement that her best friend’s daughter’s visit gives her but she sees that it is her best friend, Jaxon\u00a0 that she truly misses.\u00a0 Lily decides to take it upon herself to try to go to California and convince Jaxon that Trista needs to see him as much as he needs to see her.\u00a0 What she doesn’t expect is to find a man who begins to win her heart.\u00a0 Lily is unsuccessful in her trip to California but with a bit of pushing from his Sin Pointe band mates Jaxon flies out to Tennessee for the holiday.\u00a0 Jaxon knows Lily is off-limits but her influence alone continues to brighten his days.\u00a0 Will Jaxon and Lily follow their hearts or will the outside pressures destroy each others chance at real happiness?<\/p>\n

I loved Jaxon in the first book but this brought him to a whole new level.\u00a0 Jaxon and Lily’s love affair is just that its much more focused on love than on sex.\u00a0 I enjoyed that since you almost expected his story to revolve around sex.\u00a0 With that being said they did have some very steamy sex\u00a0scenes that had my nook almost at melting point.\u00a0 The story itself was emotional and touching.\u00a0 The two of them both have haunted pasts and that really made their love seem more genuine.\u00a0 It wasn’t painted as if they were just filling an emotional need but they were really building something.\u00a0 I think the one thing I do wish I had more closure on what Lily’s past.\u00a0 We see bits of it coming back but in the end I expected something to happen but it just kind of vanished from the story.\u00a0 Maybe this will be brought up again in a future novel but I would say that was the only little bit of a loose end.\u00a0 I am extremely excited that Ben’s story is next.\u00a0 I love him and think he deserves a wonderful story.\u00a0 I can’t wait to get my hands on that.\u00a0 Overall, Carlene Love Flores produced yet another awesome story that I enjoyed.\u00a0 I would suggest that readers read these books sequentially.\u00a0 There was a lot of information in the first book that pops up in the second.\u00a0 So, if you’re looking for a romance story with a rock star instead of a rock star with a love story then you need to pick up this series!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
