Not even her.<\/p>\n<p>Dallas Child Protection Services Investigator Kay Taylor doesn&#8217;t want or need Nate in her life. But he doesn&#8217;t seem to understand the word no. He seems to also have forgotten the brand he left on her heart.<\/p>\n<p>When Kay is taken and sold to a monster, the devil himself couldn&#8217;t stop Nate from doing whatever it takes to find her&#8230;but will he be in time?<\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Kay wakes to find herself with a monstrous headache and tied to a chair.\u00a0 Kay manages to free herself and escape while her abductors are distracted.\u00a0 While in the hospital after her kidnapping she tries to piece things together only to find that she may have uncovered a slave trade of underage girls.\u00a0 As Kay investigates more her life is put into more danger and attempts to kidnap her continue to pop up.\u00a0 When her life is in danger the need for security thrusts an old flame back into her life.\u00a0 Nate can&#8217;t stand aside anymore while Kay places herself in life threatening situations.\u00a0 When Kay teams up with Nate the rest of Wolfe&#8217;s pack they try to find who is hunting Kay.\u00a0 When they finally do the team is turned on its side and more danger threaten the rekindled sparks between Kay and Nate.<\/p>\n<p>I adored this story.\u00a0 Jerrie Alexander has done it yet again.\u00a0 Her weaving of suspense and romance is masterful.\u00a0 Her characters both main and ancillary are well-written.\u00a0 I loved Kay and Nate.\u00a0 I thought they were fantastic to start this series off with.\u00a0 Kay with her head-strong personality and Nate with his sexy protective nature ignite like gasoline and a flame.\u00a0 The characters are only one reason why they should pick up this book.\u00a0 Jerrie picks a story that could be ripped straight from Dateline and places characters that you learn to care about and relate to on a personal level.\u00a0 This is only book one in Jerrie Alexander&#8217;s Lost and Found Inc series but I personally can&#8217;t wait to pick up book two, <em>Cold Day in Hell<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 I can&#8217;t wait to see what happens to Tyrell.\u00a0 Overall, this book was a wonderful blend of suspense and romance.\u00a0 For those who like romance you will be satisfied and for those suspense lovers you won&#8217;t be able to put this book down either.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I am privileged to start your week off with a wonderful author I have spotlighted here before.\u00a0 Hell or High Water is another wonderful romantic suspense novel by Jerrie Alexander who just keeps getting better and better.\u00a0 The well written story and captivating characters are just two reasons to pick up this book.\u00a0 For&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[685,799,951,1305],"class_list":["post-2120","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-hell-or-high-water","tag-jerrie-alexander","tag-lost-and-found-inc-series","tag-romantic-suspense"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
