Happy April Fool’s day!\u00a0 Today is a day full of checking your chairs and the hands that you shake.\u00a0 Though it is a day for pranks I don’t have one for you today.\u00a0 My Day 9 review is another of Janice Horton’s works, Bagpipes and Bullshot<\/em>.\u00a0 This is one of her full length novels.\u00a0 This was a fun read that I couldn’t put down.\u00a0 When I read this book I really wished I was the cowgirl finding her Scottish Laird.\u00a0 For more of my rave review be sure to keep reading after the book blurb.\u00a0 Happy April Fool’s Day! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

A contemporary tale told with timeless Scottish romanticism and a knowing sense of humour. Bagpipes and Bullshot twists an everyday love story with a whole cast of village eccentrics into an entertaining play on rural life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

Oley first meets Innes when Innes plays the bagpipes at her mother’s wedding.\u00a0 After a few dates they have grown to really care for each other.\u00a0 But, Innes must go back to Scotland.\u00a0 Not ready to let Oley go he asks her to be his cattle manager and come to Scotland with him.\u00a0 Oley’s first instinct is to say no but after some thought about what she needs and wants she agrees.\u00a0 When Oley arrives to Scotland she wasn’t expecting what she saw.\u00a0 Innes is a Laird and lives in a large home.\u00a0 As Oley spends\u00a0more time with Innes and his Scottish estate she begins to fall hard for both.\u00a0 But, there are things conspiring against them to thwart their happiness.\u00a0 It gets so rough that Oley almost loses everything.\u00a0 Can Innes and Oley fight against those who wish them harm or will their love crumble like the buildings on Innes’ estate?
\nI loved this book.\u00a0 Its both entertaining and addicting.\u00a0 Innes and Oley’s love story is so sweet and natural.\u00a0 What woman wouldn’t want a Scottish Laird to come sweep them off their feet.\u00a0 It was fun to see the opposites attract work in their favor.\u00a0 With Oley and her work and Innes and his they should want completely different people but in reality they are perfect for one another.\u00a0 The story takes you from Texas to Scotland and that in itself is a fantastic aspect to the story.\u00a0 I also love the element of intrigue that is within the story.\u00a0 The factors fighting Innes and Oley being together add a wonderful roller coaster ride.\u00a0 Overall, this was a fantastic read that I fell in love with.\u00a0 Anyone who likes a good love story with a few hurdles will adore this story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
