It is an outrageous, passionate, witty narrative about a man who knows a lot about women\u2026just not as much as he thinks he knows. As he tells his story, Drew learns the one thing he never wanted in life, is the only thing he can\u2019t live without<\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>We meet Drew when he is home sick with the flu.\u00a0 Well, that&#8217;s at least what he says at first.\u00a0 But, Drew begins to tell us a very different story.\u00a0 It all begins with his usual trolling for women at bars.\u00a0 When he encounters this beautiful girl he is entranced and feels this is his next lay.\u00a0 Unfortunately for him she turns him down flat and he moves on to the next easy girl.\u00a0 The next day as Drew is going over his previous nights escapades with his colleagues he meets the new associate his father hired, Katherine Brooks.\u00a0 He is floored when he realizes this is the girl who turned him down the night before. Katherine and Drew are thrown together as both competitors and partners.\u00a0 Unfortunately, that only fans the flames between them.\u00a0 When they eventually come together the ending isn&#8217;t as happy as either would like it to be.\u00a0 But, Drew refuses to sit back and get anything but the happy ending he deserves.\u00a0 The question is if Katherine is willing to forgive his multitude of sins and let him have things his way.<br \/>\nI adored this book.\u00a0 It was such a refreshing take on a romance novel.\u00a0 With this story being told so very blatantly from the male lead&#8217;s perspective it was unique and fresh.\u00a0 Drew is one character that won&#8217;t be leaving me anytime soon.\u00a0 It takes quite a talent to write what the male psyche holds.\u00a0 Most of us have no idea what is going on and with Drew he confirmed what we all know&#8230;all they think about is sex.\u00a0 I think one of my favorite parts about this story was that Drew was very plain in his speech and very unapologetic.\u00a0 That being said made the dialogue and his inner dialogue so hilarious.\u00a0 Now that I have gushed about our hot male lead I can&#8217;t forget our heroine, Katherine.\u00a0 The was a wonderful foil for Drew.\u00a0 It was like they were opposite sides of the same coin.\u00a0 She was definitely a strong female character that refused to just fall to Drew&#8217;s feet.\u00a0 The story of these two is such an instant classic almost like a pairing out of a Jane Austen novel.\u00a0 But, you wouldn&#8217;t ever find some of the things Drew says, describes or does in Pride and Prejudice or Emma.\u00a0 Overall,\u00a0 this is definitely one I will be recommending to all my friends and I can&#8217;t wait to pick up the next book with Katherine and Drew, <em>Twisted<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Tuesday!\u00a0 My review today is one that I&#8217;m excited to post.\u00a0 I really loved this book and I will be lucky enough to meet Emma Chase on Saturday.\u00a0 Her book, Tangled, was witty, fresh and unique in its narrator.\u00a0 I know you will love this book the moment you open the book.\u00a0 As always&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[349,504,1505],"class_list":["post-2360","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-contemporary-romance","tag-emma-chase","tag-tangled"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
