GENNA LYNDSEY is not a people person. A short, too-skinny, wild-haired waif, with crazy hair and sturdy nerdy glasses, lives through books. So it\u2019s lucky she and her best friend own their own bookstore. Her college days taught her that dating was too unreliable to depend on others. It was then that she started resorting to obscure quotes to shield herself from others who ventured too close.<\/span>
\nRICK JOHNSON, Fraud Insurance Claims Investigator, is assigned to look into an unusual number of claims filed by Genna Lyndsey. He suspects Genna of sabotaging her own property for the insurance money. His investigation uncovers an adorable introvert determined to keep everyone at bay, while someone else resolves to put her out of business\u2014no matter how great the risk.<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

Genna is soully focused on making her business successful and growing it.\u00a0 The big problem is that her building keeps having to be repaired.\u00a0 Genna must file reports with her insurance company but when Rick Johnson investigates the numerous claims he begins to wonder about the store and its owner.\u00a0 When Rick meets the unusual Genna he is taken aback.\u00a0 She is skinny, wild haired and using quotes in every day conversation as though most people understand her.\u00a0 The more Rick investigates Genna and her business the more he wants to be around her.\u00a0 He finds himself drawn toward Genna, but Genna is fighting the attraction.\u00a0 While Genna is fighting off Rick she also has an overly zealous patron and ex-boyfriend dogging her heels.\u00a0 With Genna’s now expanding line of admirers, her businesses needs and the possibility someone is sabotaging her she doesn’t know which way to turn but she’s starting to think that no amount of quotes can hide her from the love that is looking for her.
\nI really liked this book.\u00a0 It was a fun read with a quirky twist.\u00a0 Genna and Rick were fun.\u00a0 I enjoyed seeing their characters change.\u00a0 Though I could see how Genna’s quotes could get tiresome but Rick eventually finds a way to at least halt them temporarily.\u00a0 The bit of suspense\/mystery was a nice additive even if it was quite predictable.\u00a0 I think the use of the mystery was used more of a means to an end with Genna and Rick being forced into more situations together.\u00a0 It isn’t just Genna and Rick in this story though.\u00a0 Their best friends who also make a love connection are a great part of this quirky story.\u00a0 Overall, I think it’s a great story and you will definitely love this odd couple love story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
