Rebecca Jordan\u2019s life is simple, disciplined, and uncomplicated, at least on the surface. Then she meets a handsome stranger\/secret admirer named Michael Vale one fateful late night at a bookstore caf\u00e9. As a focused but struggling photographer with a passion for art, her outwardly happy world is turned upside down during this life-changing encounter when she quickly realizes she has met her soul mate. The undeniable attraction between them and their intense, immediate connection seem picture perfect as they discuss the shop\u2019s local artwork, until Rebecca abruptly ends the chance meeting with no explanation.<\/span>
\nBetraying Brett, her loyal, loving boyfriend, is something Rebecca can never bring herself to do. Driven by a strong moral code and molded by divorced parents and a tumultuous childhood, she struggles to stay away from Michael, but fate and circumstance intervene, bringing them back together time and time again. As much as she resists, there is no denying her true feelings for him and the simple fact that Michael understands her in a way Brett never has. Michael proves to be everything she\u2019s ever wanted, but remains just out of her reach.
\nBehind the Glass tells the story of Michael and Rebecca\u2019s extraordinary love and the many unconventional stages their relationship must go through. Their morals and their faith in true love and in each other will be put to the test as they learn that meeting one\u2019s soul mate does not come without obstacles.<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

Rebecca’s life filled with simple everyday activities.\u00a0 She woke, went to work at one of her two jobs and then came home.\u00a0 This happened every day except the one evening a night she let herself indulge in the silence of a small bookstore\/art gallery that she had stumbled upon.\u00a0 Nothing extraordinary happens until the day she enthralled with a painting.\u00a0 She feels it captures her emotions so thoroughly she forgets where she is until she notices a handsome man staring at her.\u00a0 Feeling self-conscious she runs to her favorite reading chair and tries to find the solace she normally gets just from being in the bookstore.\u00a0 But that night introduces to her the handsome Michael.\u00a0 She feels a connection immediately but shies away from the feelings he instills her.\u00a0 Soon the two realize they have mutual friends, one includes her boyfriend.\u00a0 But, as their circles draw closer and their connections stronger events through them together and their love for each other grows.\u00a0 Sadly, Rebecca holds back because of her past and Michael must prove himself or they will forever be separated even as their love burns bright.
\nI adored this story.\u00a0 This is a shorter novel but one that will leave you feeling the love and affections these two characters feel.\u00a0 Rebecca and Michael are fantastic characters.\u00a0 They are well-developed and grow through the story.\u00a0 Though not an entirely unique story with some areas being a bit predictable the emotional element is strong and well written.\u00a0 You feel what the characters feel.\u00a0 Your heart breaks when theirs does and you fall in love at the exact same moment they do.\u00a0 It takes a good writer to take their audience on the emotional ride their characters do.\u00a0 Overall, this was a wonderfully emotion driven story that will leave the reader feeling full of love and hope.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
