Me.<br \/>\nHe doesn\u2019t treat me like I\u2019m fragile.<br \/>\nBut he doesn\u2019t know, and I\u2019m not ready to tell him.<br \/>\nWhat if it changes everything?<br \/>\nTragedy found me when I was seventeen.<br \/>\nLove found me when I was twenty-one.<br \/>\nMy name is Aundrea McCall, and this is my journey.<\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Cancer has been the story of Aundrea&#8217;s life for the past four years.\u00a0 Between treatments, hospitalizations and doctors her life hasn&#8217;t been her own.\u00a0 As soon as anyone meets her and finds out she has cancer their opinion changes.\u00a0 That is until she decides to go out with her friend one night.\u00a0 While out she meets a handsome guy and has a one night stand.\u00a0 Or that&#8217;s what she thought would happen.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the guy who is her one night stand has recently started working with her brother-in-law and she will be seeing lots of him.\u00a0 Parker, doesn&#8217;t want things to end with Aundrea after one night.\u00a0 He is bound and determined to change her mind on their relationship.\u00a0 He knows they share more and wants more.\u00a0 Aundrea is holding back and is scared.\u00a0 She just wants Parker to keep seeing her as just a girl and not the girl with cancer.\u00a0 But, if she can&#8217;t get passed this then they will never have a future.\u00a0 Will Aundrea let love in or will she push away the one great thing in her life out of fear.<br \/>\nThis was a fantastically emotional story.\u00a0 The characters are wonderful and story is well written.\u00a0 Aundrea and Parker&#8217;s love story is one for the ages.\u00a0 Though it comes with tears and fears the love is felt throughout this book.\u00a0 I think when any woman reads this book they will want a Parker.\u00a0 Not to mention the few love scenes they have are quite spicy.\u00a0 The addition of the love scenes are very much-needed to lighten the mood and give a sense of hope and reality.\u00a0 The cancer portion of the story is very well researched and portrayed honestly.\u00a0 This book feels very reminiscent of a Nicholas Sparks or Colleen Hoover book.\u00a0 You are definitely going to feel like wrung out after reading this book.\u00a0 It will stay with you way after the last page.\u00a0 I look forward to Amanda Maxlyn&#8217;s next book, <em>What&#8217;s Left of Us<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Hump Day!\u00a0 Today I am reviewing a book that will tear you to pieces.\u00a0 It is heart wrenching in its love and sadness.\u00a0 The rawness of this story fills all of the pages and will leave you feeling exhausted from the emotional roller coaster.\u00a0 For my full review of Amanda Maxlyn&#8217;s What&#8217;s Left of&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[90,263,349,1771],"class_list":["post-2563","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-amanda-maxlyn","tag-cancer","tag-contemporary-romance","tag-whats-left-of-me"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
