Today I have the great privilege of reviewing another great historical romance by Merry Farmer.\u00a0 Trail of Kisses<\/em> takes us on a journey from Missouri to Denver City.\u00a0 With all the hazards of the wagon train and the cross-country travel that the mid 1800’s, this story weaves those realities with a love story that is very natural and heartwarming.\u00a0 For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.<\/p>\n

Someone is trying to kill Lynne Tremaine. After her father sentences two members of The Briscoe Boys gang to death, Judge Tremaine feels he has no choice but to send Lynne to Denver City along the Oregon Trail to live with her Uncle George\u2026against her will. For Lynne, the only thing worse than being sent away to the wild west is making the journey with the handsome, arrogant, wicked man her uncle has hired to escort her. Especially when the anger she feels toward him begins to turn to something hotter.<\/span>
\nCade Lawson is determined to prove himself to his employer, George Tremaine, after letting him down months earlier. But what he thought would be his second chance may, in fact, be a harsh punishment for his past mistakes. Lynne is headstrong, fiery, and determined to show him she is fearless. She is also beautiful and tempting, and when Cade sees just how afraid she really is underneath her brave act, he may be in danger of losing his heart to her forever. When her would-be killer attacks, it\u2019s all he can do to keep Lynne safe.
\nHe swore to protect her, but who will protect him from her?<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

Lynne is being sent away from all she loves.\u00a0 She and her family are being threatened and her father decides to keep her safe by sending her away.\u00a0 With her is her protector Cade.\u00a0 Cade is meant to keep her safe at all costs.\u00a0 What Cade doesn’t realize is that Lynne is not some wilting flower.\u00a0 She is independent and adamantly refuses to adhere to anything he says.\u00a0 It is Lynne’s tenacity that also attracts Cade and soon they both find their attraction is undeniable.\u00a0 As their love grows Cade vows to protect Lynne but what he doesn’t realize is there is a very dangerous snake in their midst that threatens their happily ever after.
\nThis was another great historical romance by Merry Farmer.\u00a0 I loved the characters and the story.\u00a0 They were both compelling and entertaining.\u00a0 Lynne’s independent nature resonates with a very modern woman and of course Cade’s very alpha male will attract any woman with a working dirty mind.\u00a0 The back drop of a wagon train going across the country and the stories of those who chose to travel using one was a great setting.\u00a0 It is fairly historically accurate and brings to life the struggles of those who lived in those times.\u00a0 Overall, this is fantastic historical romance that will definitely warm up any cold nights this Christmas season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
