What will it take for Gabe to become The Last Protector?<br \/>\n*The Last Protector is a companion novella&#8211;intended to be read after the other books in the series.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Gabe is an ordinary kid. The only difference is that he is not really a human boy.\u00a0 He is special.\u00a0 He is meant to protect. Gabe doesn&#8217;t know any of this.\u00a0 He doesn&#8217;t even know he&#8217;s special.\u00a0 That is until he begins having strange dreams and an inconvenient impulse to find this one boy.\u00a0 At first he thinks he must be gay because of this, but when he talks to his mother about this he soon forgets all that has happened.\u00a0 This cycle continues until he finally meets Kellen in college.\u00a0 Where their journey finally coincides and it begins.<br \/>\nI really loved this prequel.\u00a0 Gabe is one of my favorite characters and I was ecstatic to get my greedy little hands on this.\u00a0 This book really fills in some of the back story with Gabe.\u00a0 You get to see how Gabe comes into his powers as a protector and how he instinctually knows who Kellen is.\u00a0 I will say this though my favorite parts were when Gabe kept thinking he was gay.\u00a0 What was comical about this was he would go into detail about being with these girls but then he thought something was wrong cause he was thinking about Kellen.\u00a0 In typical Gabe fashion he says and does most of this humorously.\u00a0 Knowing what I now know about Gabe it made me feel a bit sorry for him because his memories kept being wiped and he&#8217;d relive these experiences over and over.\u00a0 Overall, this was another great addition to The Star Child series.\u00a0 I truly can&#8217;t wait to see what Stephanie Keyes has in store for us next.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I get to give to you a great novella by one of my fave authors, Stephanie Keyes.\u00a0 The Last Protector is Gabe&#8217;s story before Kellen.\u00a0 This is a story I have been waiting for.\u00a0 Gabe is one of my favorite characters in The Star Child series.\u00a0 For my full review of this awesome novella&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[1455,1584,1629,1813],"class_list":["post-2593","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-stephanie-keyes","tag-the-last-protector","tag-the-star-child-series","tag-young-adult"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 -
