The woman who got out of town and made a life she loves is now forced, by the bonds of family, and the weight of obligation, to return and give up what she had worked to build for herself.<br \/>\nThese two are unlikely to cross paths, but chance throws them into the right place at the right time. Quinn\u2019s brother is the catalyst that brings Mhisery into Quinn\u2019s line of sight. And that\u2019s all it took, one look and he knows he has to have her. The golden boy athlete is now drawn to the tall, tattooed woman stepping off the last bus into town.<br \/>\nWill Quinn ever have the woman he desires, and make her his own, or will she return to the life she loves far away from the small town of Midnight, and Quinn, or will she stay and make a life with the man she loves?<br \/>\nChasing Midnight tells a story of love, friendship, and sacrifice. This talented duo, Shyloh &amp; Alex Morgan, will rip your heart out and have you falling in love with the inhabitants of this quaint, quirky, town. Welcome to southern seduction, and the town of Midnight, where the Darkest Desires of Dixie become a reality.<\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Mhisery left Midnight, Ga hoping to never have to return unless on very special occasions.\u00a0 That all changed when her siblings called begging for help with their alcoholic father.\u00a0 She knows that no isn&#8217;t an option when they have been dealing with this for so long.\u00a0 So, Mhisery finds herself back in the backward thinking small town of Midnight.\u00a0 When Quinn sees a gorgeous but pissed woman step off the bus in Midnight he can&#8217;t take his eyes off her.\u00a0 He feels the uncontrollable need to know her.\u00a0 When he realizes its Mhisery he convinces himself that he needs her no matter what anyone may think.<br \/>\nWhen Quinn starts pursuing Mhisery with a passion this is like a high school dream come true for Mhisery.\u00a0 Her high school crush wants to be with her and what would hurt with a fling for the small time she will be in town.\u00a0 Unfortunately, Mhisery finds herself being drawn in by Quinn and begins questioning if she wants to stay or go.\u00a0 Can Quinn convince Mhisery to stay in the town she hates or will Mhisery break both their hearts and fly back to the big city?<br \/>\nThis was a very entertaining read.\u00a0 The characters are addictive and very relatable.\u00a0 You can definitely find yourself wanting to visit this small town with all these incredibly sexy southern males.\u00a0 This book will give you all kinds of really interesting sexual ideas.\u00a0 I know I was taking mental notes.\u00a0 Unfortunately, regardless of these fantastic traits in this book there were some things that bugged me.\u00a0 It may have just been the writing style but the dialogue felt disjointed in some areas.\u00a0 Also, though most of the side characters were entertaining (Chance, I&#8217;m talking about you)\u00a0 I felt some of the side stories weren&#8217;t necessary to make the main story move forward.\u00a0 It was almost like intermissions here and there.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t mind multifaceted stories with multiple characters tales being told but they have to all help the story move forward and I didn&#8217;t always feel that way with these stories.\u00a0\u00a0 Overall, the steamy scenes, hot males and fun characters made the story worth finishing.\u00a0 I look forward to reading the next book in this series though I hope some of the dialogue issues are smoother this time around.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/01\/1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2637\" src=\"https:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/01\/1.jpg?w=225\" alt=\"-1\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/01\/2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2638\" src=\"https:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/01\/2.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"-2\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/01\/3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2639\" src=\"https:\/\/bookmaven623.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/01\/3.jpg?w=300\" alt=\"-3\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Everyone!\u00a0 I know this post is super late this week but unfortunately my little guy has been incredibly sick and my work had been equally busy.\u00a0 But, better late than never I am here to share Chasing Midnight with you.\u00a0 Chasing Midnight is a multifaceted story that illustrates small town life in Georgia and&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"content-type":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[3],"tags":[69,298,349,517,1400],"class_list":["post-2633","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-book-reviews","tag-alex-morgan","tag-chasing-midnight","tag-contemporary-romance","tag-erotic","tag-shyloh-morgan"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.6 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Review: Chasing Midnight by Shyloh &#038;
