Happy Sunday!\u00a0 Today I am sharing with you book two in The Sweet Trilogy.\u00a0 Sweet Peril<\/em> takes off where Sweet Evil<\/em> left us.\u00a0 This was a fantastic continuation of this series.\u00a0 It dives us further into the world of Anna and the Nephilim.\u00a0 The complications abound and so does the temptations.\u00a0 For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.<\/p>\n

Anna Whitt, the daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she\u2019d never do the work of her father\u2014polluting souls. She\u2019d been naive to make such a vow. She\u2019d been naive about a lot of things.<\/span>
\nHaunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school\u2019s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there\u2019s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.
\nWhen an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

Now that Anna has had to begin “working” for her father whenever necessary things have become complicated. She hasn’t heard anything from Kaiden since he moved and her heart still pines for him.\u00a0 But, now that her father has an intricate plan for them to try to overthrow the Dukes she and her fellow Nephilim, Kopano must go out and recruit others willing to fight for their side when everything goes down.\u00a0 As time goes on things become more complicated and dangerous.\u00a0 Will the Nephilim be able to join together before they are discovered?\u00a0 Can Anna decide what is really important to her, her heart or the lives of those around her?
\nI adored the continuation of Anna and Kaiden’s story.\u00a0 The addition of the love triangle between Anna, Kaiden and Kopano really highlighted the deep feelings between all of three of them and an interesting new side to the quiet Kopano.\u00a0 We also get to meet more Nephilim and see the depravity that drives the Dukes and their children apart.\u00a0 This part of the trilogy really dives into the heart of Anna’s father’s plan for her and the Nephilim.\u00a0 Though his plan at first may seem self serving it truly is something that is complex and dangerous.\u00a0 It is that part that really adds a lot of depth to Anna’s character.\u00a0 But, there are also times where you see how she is still na\u00efve in many ways.\u00a0 Overall, I would whole-heartedly recommend reading this series.\u00a0 You won’t regret it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
