Zeb knew the moment he met Sayer that he wouldn’t ever not want her.\u00a0 She was all silk and he was rough in the worst way.\u00a0 When Zeb finds himself in need of a lawyer and a friend, Sayer is the first person he thinks of.\u00a0 As Sayer becomes closer to Zeb and helps him every where she can their passion for one another ignites, but can it last?\u00a0 Will Sayer let go of her past and choose Zeb or will she let him walk out of her life forever.
\nI absolutely fell in love with Zeb.\u00a0 His love for Sayer and his family softens his rough exterior.\u00a0 It isn’t just that that really endears him he is the complete package with a twist of bad boy in there.\u00a0 I would totally swoon if I met Zeb.\u00a0 Its not just my love for Zeb that makes this book a keeper.\u00a0 The story is very well done.\u00a0 It draws you in from the first page where Zeb and Sayer meet to the last page where you will be dying for more.\u00a0 If you are a Jay Crownover fan you will no doubt love the first book in her Saints of Denver series.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne battle at a time, Zeb. That\u2019s all we can tackle, okay?\u201d
\nHe was quiet for a long moment, but I could hear him breathing and then finally he grunted a little bit and replied, \u201cWell, then the battle I need to tackle right now is those god-awful walls. Thank you for talking me off the ledge. It\u2019s impossible not to hope for the best when I talk to you.\u201d
\nMaybe it was the overwhelming quiet of my house or it was the wistfulness in his voice. Or maybe it was really the fact that no matter how hard I tried to keep a clear divide between the two of us, I was always going to be too eager to cross over it when an opportunity presented itself. Like a goddamn fool.
\nCalling myself every kind of name there was in the book, I blurted out, \u201cI\u2019m not doing anything tonight, and Poppy went out with Rowdy, so if you need an extra set of hands to help with the paint I can swing by the house.\u201d I wanted to groan. I was the least handy person in the whole world and I don\u2019t think I\u00a0 had ever even held a paintbrush, but the idea of getting to spend some one-on-one time with him was just so tempting that I ignored all of that and secretly hoped he would ignore it, too.
\nHe chuckled a little. \u201cAre you serious?\u201d
\nI shrugged even though he couldn\u2019t see it. \u201cSure. Why not?\u201d
\n\u201cWell, I\u2019m not going to turn down free labor, especially when that free labor looks like you. Do you even own anything that you won\u2019t be pissed to get paint on, Say? What I do tends to get dirty.\u201d His voiced dropped a little bit and there was a husky timbre to the words that made me shiver.
\nThere was a double entendre there that was impossible to miss and it made all of my skin heat up from the inside out. Not to mention no one had ever shortened my name before. I wasn\u2019t exactly the cutesy nickname type. My father wouldn\u2019t have approved and as such I was always just \u201cSayer.\u201d Zeb\u2019s shortening my name felt intimate. It felt far more familiar than I should be allowing myself to get with him. Still I didn\u2019t say anything other than \u201cI\u2019m sure I can find something.\u201d
