In Kristy Centeno’s Shadows<\/em> the hunter becomes the hunted.\u00a0 Daya knows the new customer where she works is not normal.\u00a0 She knows because her training to hunt the paranormal kicks in every time he is around.\u00a0 After leaving her work one night she is jumped.\u00a0 What she doesn’t expect is he isn’t the only one hunting her.\u00a0 When her hunter ends up helping her, the two of them must find out why leaders of the Underworld want to kill her.
\nIn Stephanie Keyes’ The Boy in the Tree,\u00a0 <\/em>at a coffee shop with her best friend, Jemma sees a boy she recognizes from her youth.\u00a0 After seeing him she is drawn back to the time when she was practically obsessed with him.\u00a0 When strange things begin to happen and scary tree warriors attempt to attack her, the boy she thought was the one from her childhood comes to her rescue.\u00a0 Soon Jemma and Owen figure out why the boy in the tree wants her and how they can stop his terror.
\nI adored both of these stories.\u00a0 Kristy Centeno’s story really drew me in.\u00a0 It was my first read by her.\u00a0 She wove a unique story that truly takes the reader on a ride.\u00a0 Taking the paranormal world and putting a cleverly veiled romance within it was well done.\u00a0 My only complaint was it felt so very unfinished.\u00a0 It felt like there was so much left unanswered.\u00a0 I felt unfulfilled even for a short story.
\nStephanie Keyes loves the faerie aspect of the paranormal and she can write it with the best of them.\u00a0 I thought her story was quite unique and exciting. The story takes the wonder out of faeries and places the danger right with them.\u00a0 This bit of fantasy with a love story gives just the right amount of action, love and suspense.\u00a0 It was truly a phenomenal novella.
