Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?<br \/>\nThe electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they\u2019ve always known\u2014and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Review:<\/h2>\n<p>Mare and Cal have now found themselves with the rebel front. Cal is reluctant to participate but he feels he has no other choice.\u00a0 Mare is now fully committed.\u00a0 She knows what Maven has planned and now her goal is to stop him and save people like her.\u00a0 As she goes deeper into the rebellion and saves more people she will start to question how her choices have begun to affect those around her.\u00a0 When her biggest risks costs more than she expects will she be able to pull herself out of the darkness or let it consume her? Will her heart let her accept and trust Cal or will Maven win in a way that can destroy Mare?<br \/>\nI must say this sequel out did all of my expectations.\u00a0 It left me with a horrible book hangover and a broken heart.\u00a0 In the <em>Glass Sword<\/em>, Victoria Aveyard takes the reader further into Mare&#8217;s world.\u00a0 With the rebellion and the new mission to find more of her kind this story becomes intrigal to the world itself.\u00a0 The characters of Cal and Maren become more complex as does their relationship.\u00a0 Though with this book the reader will really experience heart break on many levels.\u00a0 The writing and story is told so well that you will forget that most of these characters are only teenagers and not the adults that they must act like.\u00a0 In all, this book has solidified the world of the Red Queen and will leave you sad, heart broken and dying for the next book in the series.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the second installment of the Red Queen series.\u00a0 The Glass Sword takes off from where Red Queen left us.\u00a0 Cal and Mare are now with the rebel front but only one of them is trusted and wanting to participate.
