Avett seems to find herself in trouble more than she’s not.\u00a0 But, when her trouble lands her in jail facing serious charges she is scared.\u00a0 She is especially scared when she meets her incredibly sexy and no non-sense attorney, Quaid.\u00a0 Quaid doesn’t care about Avett’s story.\u00a0 Soon enough Quaid realizes Avett isn’t his normal client.\u00a0 Avett and Quaid start to become closer and their attraction to one another is electric.\u00a0 Avett’s trouble continues to follow her and effect those around her.\u00a0 Can Avett let herself care for Quaid knowing he will be in danger due to her being a trouble magnet?
\nI love Jay Crownover’s books.\u00a0 This especially goes with her Saints of Denver series.\u00a0 I love her Marked men but so far Zeb and Quaid have been too steamy to put down.\u00a0 Avett and Quaid’s story was both fun, suspenseful and sexy.\u00a0 The steamy scenes are woven throughout the suspense and romance.\u00a0 Avett and Quaid really develop and have depth as the story progressed.\u00a0 I enjoyed their banter and back stories.\u00a0 It truly gave the reader some context to how they are truly attracted to one another.\u00a0 At first, they are a very odd combination.\u00a0 I was even thinking “where is she going?”\u00a0 But, once all is revealed, at only the right time, the story has taken so many dramatic and exciting turns that you will not be able to put the book down.\u00a0 Those steamy scenes will fog your e-reader and the suspense will have you holding on to it for dear life.\u00a0 Charged<\/em> is an awesome continuation of the Saints of Denver series.\u00a0 Can’t wait for the next…I’m hoping for Wheeler (hint, hint).<\/p>\n

\nI narrowed my eyes at her, shifted my weight from foot to foot as her proximity and the charge of her pushing and me pulling thickened both my blood and my cock. I was an attorney for a reason. I never met an argument I didn\u2019t like or that I didn\u2019t feel compelled to win. The way Avett always seemed to challenge me was as much of a turn-on as her curvy little body was.
\n\u201cWhere is your father?\u201d I lifted my eyes from her penetrating gaze in search of the big biker. I didn\u2019t need to try and explain a black eye or a broken arm to Orsen on top of why I suddenly had no interest in searching out a pretty piece of ass to spend time with.
\n\u201cHe\u2019s waiting at the truck. I told him I had some questions I needed to ask you about what happens next.\u201d

\nShit. That was not the direction I needed my thoughts to go, but now that they were there I didn\u2019t have a chance in hell of wrangling them back into the safe zone.
\n\u201cDo you have questions about what happens next?\u201d My voice didn\u2019t sound like my own and I knew there was no hiding the wayward direction of my thoughts as they played out in my gaze as I watched her carefully.
\nSlowly, her head shook back and forth, dislodging the bun at the back of her head. Pink strands of hair floated around her face, curling over her shoulders, and my fingertips itched to reach out and push it off her face.
\n\u201cI know what happens next, Quaid\u2026do you?\u201d Her tone had dropped to a husky whisper that hit me right in the dick. My entire body tensed up and I almost, very nearly, leaned down and met her as she lifted up on her tiptoes towards me. I wanted to kiss her. I wanted her to kiss me. But over the top of her head, as she moved towards me, I caught sight of a familiar face. The heady, little bubble of seduction and intoxicating risk that Avett had created around me popped, dropping me hard, back into reality.
\nI turned my head as her lips grazed my cheek, and even though it was as innocent as any kiss had ever been, it felt more erotic, more forbidden, and more illicit than any of the actual sex I had ever had. This little slip of a woman could demolish me, waste me, annihilate me, and if I allowed her to do it, I knew it would feel better than anything had in a very long time.
