\"\"<\/a>I just recently finished Once a Witch<\/em> by Carolyn MacCullough.\u00a0 This was a wonderful paranormal YA book.\u00a0 This also happens to be one of the books on my TBR (to be read) for the summer list.\u00a0 It was an excellent short read and I immediately went out and bought the sequel, Always a Witch<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Once a Witch<\/em> begins with Tamsin working in her grandmother’s book store.\u00a0 Tamsin is the only one in her family of witches that is without Talent.\u00a0 Meaning she doesn’t have any powers.\u00a0 A handsome stranger comes into the store and asks her for help.\u00a0 But, he is actually asking for her Talented sister Rowena.\u00a0 Being tired of feeling like the only person in her family to be able to do nothing she pretends to be her sister.\u00a0 It’s not long after agreeing to help this stranger her friend, Gabriel moves back to New York.\u00a0 Gabriel has become a very handsome and intelligent man. Gabriel’s talent is finding things.\u00a0 So, Tamsin enlists the help of Gabriel to find what this handsome stranger wants.\u00a0 This event starts Tamsin on a road that she must travel and make some very difficult choices. Decisions that will impact her future and her family’s future.<\/p>\n

This is an excellent book.\u00a0 It actually focuses on being different and how to cope with those things.\u00a0 I was quite impressed. I did not expect to see those topics addressed even on a cursory level. \u00a0 I enjoyed all of the characters and felt like this was a very well-rounded book.\u00a0 The writing was fluid and consistently well written.\u00a0 I look forward to reading Always a Witch<\/em>.<\/p>\n
