\nThe clock mocks me.
\nAs the minute hand ticks closer to eight in the evening, I wrack my brain to figure out if I got the time wrong. Maybe we picked two. Maybe he said ten. Maybe we\u2019re meeting tomorrow.
\nMy chest twists with a desperate anxiety as I toy with the band on my watch.
\nBut as the fountains of Lincoln Center dance higher under the waning light, I\u2019m sadly certain there was no error in communication.
\nThe only error was one of judgment.

\nThis was a great novella.\u00a0 It had the perfect full bodied story in a small package.\u00a0 Gabriel and Penelope were fantastic.\u00a0 You really feel what they feel through Lauren Blakely’s storytelling.\u00a0 This story is a wonderful addition to the 1001 Dark Nights series.\u00a0 With memorable characters and a story that will stay with you, you won’t be able to put this novella down until you turn the last page.\u00a0 Lauren Blakely hits another homerun with this story.
