Mandy finally agrees to let her friend fix her up with a blind date.\u00a0 When her friends back out at the last minute the last person she expects to meet is Malcolm.\u00a0 He’s sexy, sweet and something she hasn’t had in a long time.\u00a0 She decides to just go with it for one night.\u00a0 But, when Malcolm wants more than one night will Mandy be able to finally open up her life to someone or will she end it all?<\/p>\n

I love this story.\u00a0 I loved it when she wrote just a small piece of it as Jade Sinner.\u00a0 This really brought depth into the story.\u00a0 This is a very steamy and quite funny at times book that will have you wiping the steam off your kindle.\u00a0 Mandy and Malcolm’s chemistry is instant and almost tangible.\u00a0 Aleatha Romig is well known for her darker romances but her lighter side is just as exciting and entertaining.\u00a0 She is a very talented writer and taking her novella as Jade Sinner and making into a fantastic love story that will make anyone swoon.\u00a0 If your looking for a fun story that is only for “one night”\u00a0 you will love this story and Mandy and Malcolm.<\/p>\n

When we finally pull apart, before I can speak or even contemplate what happened, Malcolm’s blue eyes shine down on me, taking me in and reading me.<\/p>\n

His voice rumbles through the background commotion of the bar. \u201cYou taste like sweet wine and smell like perfume and desire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Warmth fills my cheeks. \u201cYou taste like good beer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGood? You’re a beer connoisseur?\u201d<\/p>\n

I shrug. \u201cMostly, I know cheap beer.\u201d<\/p>\n

He lifts my chin, bringing his indigo eyes into focus. The room disappears, making those blue orbs all I can see.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m a connoisseur,\u201d he says as his thumb gently rubs over my bruised lips. \u201cAnd you, beautiful Mandy, if you were a beer, would never be a cheap one. No, you’re a rich custom craft brew. I see it in your eyes, feel it in your touch, and smell it in the air. Kissing a stranger isn’t something you do, is it?\u201d<\/p>\n

I try to move my eyes away, but Malcolm’s grip of my chin is unrelenting. Meeting his gaze, I reply, \u201cNo. I won’t even bore you with how long it’s been since I’ve kissed a real man.\u201d<\/p>\n

His eyes sparkle. \u201cYou kiss fake men?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBoys. Well, only one actually.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou kiss boys…\u201d And then, as if the reality of his statement hits home, he asks, \u201cYou have a son?\u201d<\/p>\n

My heart flutters, its speed increasing by the second. \u201cI do, but I don’t want to talk about him. Not because he isn’t important for he is\u2014he’s my world\u2014but because tonight isn’t about him. It’s about me.\u201d I can’t gauge Malcolm’s reaction. I can only guess that he’s assuming that I’m some needy woman trying to get a man to take on the responsibility of a kid who isn’t his.<\/p>\n

I reach out and splay my fingers over his chest. His heart is beating to match mine. \u201cI don’t want to talk about him,\u201d I continue, \u201cbecause he’ll never know about you\u2014I’ll never tell him and never introduce you. Don’t worry. I’m not after a man to rescue me. I’m perfectly content with my life as a mother. I just wanted to remember what it felt like to be a woman…for just one night.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m not anti-children\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n

I shake my head. \u201cStop. That doesn’t matter.\u201d It\u2019s then that I notice the filled glasses on the table and laugh. \u201cWhen did the waitress come?\u201d<\/p>\n

Malcolm bows his head until our noses touch. He inhales deeply, his eyes closing as his hand falls to my lap. \u201cI’d say just after you.\u201d<\/p>\n

More heat floods my cheeks. \u201cI-I didn’t…\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThen we need to do something about that.\u201d He looks again at the full glasses. \u201cI think the drinks came while my tongue was busy getting to know your sweet mouth.\u201d His hand splays over my thigh.<\/p>\n
