Today, I get to bring to you the third book in the fantastic Ascension series.\u00a0 This book takes us further into the world that Cyrene is becoming a bigger part in and Kael is choosing darker paths.\u00a0 For my full review, keep reading after the book blurb.<\/p>\n

After the loss of a friend and a false imprisonment in an Eleysian dungeon, Cyrene has no interest in destiny. Her heart was shattered, friends scattered, and her home is nothing but a pretty illusion. Even her magic won\u2019t cooperate.<\/p>\n

Only desperation can turn her to the last person she should trust:<\/p>\n

Prince Kael.
\nHis darkness mirrors a growing force lurking within her. A struggle she never imagined threatens to consume her. And as friends and foes begin to show their true colors, she starts questioning whether anyone is who they seem.<\/p>\n

Review:<\/h2>\n

Cyrene finds herself emprisioned and betrayed by the man she has fallen for.\u00a0 Her heart broken she feels aimless.\u00a0 When Kael comes to retrieve her she does the only thing she thinks she can and moves toward Kael’s pull.\u00a0 The closer she gets the more she realizes and sees where the dangers really lie.\u00a0 Her choices have so much weight now.\u00a0 Will she be able to make the choices that will propel her toward her destiny or will she doom everyone?<\/p>\n

This was a terrific addition to this series.\u00a0 Carrying Cyrene’s story to the next level really adds so much more emotional depth to her character.\u00a0 Her pain, love, confusion and torment are all felt through the words of the phenomenal K.A Linde.\u00a0 The world that she has built with this story truly brings it to striking color.\u00a0 The emotion and choices all the characters must make really bring a air of realism to a completely fictional world.\u00a0 In this third installment, we get to see more of our favorite character, Avoca, Ahlvie, Dean, Orden, Vera and Matilde.\u00a0 This band really help to pave the way for how the story will go.\u00a0 Without them, this series wouldn’t be as dynamic as it already is.\u00a0 If you haven’t started this series yet, you need to start.\u00a0 This is NOT a standalone book.\u00a0 This is part of an ongoing series that I guarantee you will devour the moment you get your hands on them.<\/p>\n
