After breaking a story that rocks Hollywood, Talia is the top gossip writer around. One night will put all of that into question. The writer becomes the story when she gets caught doing the walk of shame from A-lister Zee Jaxon\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

To save both of their reputations he suggests a fake relationship. Pretending should be easy. It shouldn\u2019t mean the fake feelings become real. Accepting the real feelings means the lies they\u2019ve told are even harder to hide.<\/p>\n

\u201cExcuse me, Miss?\u00a0 Can we use this chair?\u201d\u00a0 Talia\u2019s gaze lifted from the menu.<\/p>\n

\u201cUh.\u00a0 I\u2019m still waiting for someone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh.\u00a0 Alright.\u201d\u00a0 He approached another table with an empty chair.<\/p>\n

Talia looked at her watch.\u00a0 An hour late.\u00a0 That son of a bitch was standing her up.\u00a0 It was the last time she was going to use that dating app.<\/p>\n

She sighed and wondered if she should leave now or wait a bit longer.<\/p>\n

\u201cReady to order?\u201d\u00a0 The waiter approached the table for the fifth time.\u00a0 His impatience was showing.<\/p>\n

He had a look of ridicule.\u00a0 Yes, she was being stood up.\u00a0 Yes, she looked sad and lonely.\u00a0 Was she going to let that get her down?\u00a0 Hell, No!<\/p>\n

\u201cYes.\u00a0 I\u2019d like the salmon with a salad.\u201d\u00a0 She closed the menu.<\/p>\n

He snapped his order pad shut. Before he walked away, he made as much noise as possible taking away the other plates and glasses.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks.\u201d\u00a0 Talia mumbled taking a sip of her wine.<\/p>\n

Talia knew she wasn\u2019t the best catch.\u00a0 She was curvy, outspoken and if she was being honest, plain.\u00a0 Most men didn\u2019t give her a second look.\u00a0 Her last resort was that stupid dating app.\u00a0 Staring at the seat across from her, clearly that app was crap.<\/p>\n

While Talia waited for her meal, she took her tablet out.\u00a0 She was working on an article for the tabloid magazine, The Dirty Laundry.\u00a0 The last three years she\u2019d been working her way up the chain.\u00a0 Talia had an uncanny way of being in the right place at the right time for celebrity gossip.\u00a0 Recently, she\u2019d hit a dry spell.\u00a0 Her current article was nothing to write home about.\u00a0 Pun intended.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome on, baby!\u00a0 I can\u2019t wait to get back to your place.\u201d\u00a0 A familiar squeaky voice sounded from a booth to her right.<\/p>\n

\u201cCalm down, Gwynny.\u00a0 You know I\u2019m going to give you what you want.\u201d\u00a0 A sultry female voice answered.<\/p>\n

Talia glanced over trying to look inconspicuous.\u00a0 A beautiful blonde woman was practically sitting in the dark-haired woman\u2019s lap.\u00a0 Talia snapped her head back to her notebook.<\/p>\n

Sitting in the booth was A-list star Gwyn Smythe.\u00a0 The woman who\u2019s lap she was sitting in was her manager, Gina Bartholomew.\u00a0 This normally wouldn\u2019t qualify as scandalous, but Gwyn was currently engaged to Zee Jaxon, A-list action star.<\/p>\n

Talia snuck her phone out of her purse.\u00a0 She strategically propped her phone up to snap consecutive pictures of the women canoodling.<\/p>\n

\u201cHere you go.\u201d\u00a0 The waiter placed her food in front of her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks.\u201d\u00a0 Talia watched her phone snap the pictures.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnything, else.\u201d\u00a0 He snapped.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo wonder he didn\u2019t show.\u201d\u00a0 He mumbled as he walked away.<\/p>\n

The comment stung but the reality of what she was getting dulled the pain.<\/p>\n

Twenty minutes later, Gwyn and Gina left arm and arm.\u00a0 Talia texted the pictures to her boss.<\/p>\n

Her phone pinged immediately with a message.<\/p>\n

Talia smiled.<\/p>\n

Dropping money on the table she grabbed her tablet and walked calmly out of the restaurant.<\/p>\n
