Today I am reviewing a fantastic new book, Oxford Whispers<\/em>.\u00a0 It incorporates history, paranormal and romance all in a great package.\u00a0 I know this is the first book in Marion Croslydon’s trilogy and I can’t wait for the rest.\u00a0 Be sure to read my review after the blurb about Oxford Whispers<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Two star-crossed lovers in the English Civil War
\nA painting with haunting powers
\nA murderous ghost back for revenge<\/b><\/p>\n

Madison LeBon is dead set against the dead. She has vowed to ignore her Voodoo-stamped heritage and the psychic gift passed down through her Louisiana family. The world of the living is where she wants to belong.<\/p>\n

But her resolution shatters when the ill-fated lovers in a painting\u2014the subject of her first history class at Oxford\u2014begin to haunt her. The lovers warn her against their own nemesis, a Puritan from the English Civil War.<\/p>\n

In misty present-day Oxford, Madison embarks on a quest to unravel the secrets of the past and understand her personal bond with the painting. To protect herself, she must learn to accept her gift before life imitates art, in all its tragedy.<\/p>\n

College becomes more complicated when she falls hard for Rupert Vance, a troubled aristocrat and descendant of one of the characters in the painting.<\/p>\n

With the spirit of a murderer in hot pursuit, Madison comes to realize that her own first love may be doomed\u2026<\/p>\n

Based on a real Pre-Raphaelite painting, Oxford Whispers is full of romance, drama and suspense.<\/p>\n

Review:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marion Croslydon’s Oxford Whispers<\/em> is a phenomenal first book in her trilogy.\u00a0 The story was well-developed and flowed very well.\u00a0 She was even able to jump from the past to the present multiple times without it becoming difficult to follow the story.\u00a0 The love story between Madison and Rupert was lovely.\u00a0 I enjoyed the connection the two of them had and how they affected each other.\u00a0 The echo of their relationship and Sarah and Roberts was done to perfection.\u00a0 This was one of only a few books that still had me guessing who the bad guy was up until a couple of chapters before we found out.\u00a0 I really enjoyed that.\u00a0 The Oxford atmosphere and the intrigue of researching this actual painting and coming up with a great story really made the book.\u00a0 I have to say Great Job, Marion!\u00a0 I am eagerly awaiting the next one!<\/p>\n
