Book Blurb:
Home for the holidays…
Sierra O’Brien and Carter Grove have a lot of history—and regrets between them. Their high school romance didn’t survive after he went away to college. Despite tremendous business success, Carter never found another woman like Sierra and has two failed marriages to prove it. Sierra’s luck wasn’t much better, but after being widowed, she heads back to Bliss to plan her future. The last thing either expected was to run into each other or to reconnect to the magic that once drew them together.
Can Sierra and Carter make it work this time or are they doomed to repeat the past and let the same mistakes drive them apart? In Bliss, the inexplicable is an everyday occurrence, and anything is possible—especially during a blue moon.
Review:
Sierra is on her way back to Bliss when she decides to stop at a busy rest stop. It is that decision that sends her and Carter literally crashing into one another. These two former high school sweethearts feel the remnants of that attraction they once had, but Sierra is leery of Carter after he left her once and she had a very tumultuous marriage. After running into Sierra, Carter realizes what he has been missing in his life. He realizes that no matter the amounts of money he makes he can’t substitute the feeling he has when he is around Sierra. At the last minute, Carter heads home to Bliss for the holidays. But, it isn’t just the holidays he has on his mind. He intends to win back Sierra at all cost. His only problem is his current wife and her resistance to getting a divorce. Sierra sees what Carter is doing but is reluctant to trust him or his word. It isn’t until they both give a little that the pieces of their romance fall in place and the possibility of a future together becomes a possibility.
This was a great romance story. I am a huge fan of stories of romances that involve reconciliation. So, this story was right up my alley. I love Carter. His persistence would melt anyone’s heart. He does at least one thing that would definitely have any woman throwing themselves at him. I won’t ruin the surprise but I guarantee you will be swooning. Sierra is also a good character. She is definitely not the girl she once was. She is traumatized and it shows in everything she does. Cate Masters manages to weave a wonderful story that will keep you enchanted. I think my only criticism would be there is one mysterious character that I thought more would come from that plotline. I could have been reading more into it but there was a lot of emphasis placed on this character but that could have just been to help the characters develop more. Either way I thought more was coming and it kinda let me down. Overall, this is definitely a romance that romance fans want to pick up. Blue Moon over Bliss Lake is a very entertaining and enchanting in the traditional romance.
