BOOK BLURB:
A new romantic comedy about love, letting go, and little green men from USA Today Bestselling author Daisy Prescott.
My father was abducted by aliens.
Or so I believed for the last eighteen years.
After my mother’s death, I moved to Roswell, capital of all things alien. I’m going to find out the truth and nothing will stop me . . . except Boone Santos.
Compared to the intergalactic tinfoil hat brigade, he’s a god amongst mere mortals. Too handsome for his own good (and mine), with a grumpy arrogance, and the most beautiful smile ever—he smashes my plan to pieces like a UFO crashing into the desert.
I need a tinfoil hat for my heart.
Do I believe in aliens? I’m not sure.
What do I believe? I’m not going to fall in love with Boone. Definitely not . . .
Review:
Lucy has always thought her father was abducted by aliens. No one has ever contradicted that, so when she forced into a change she chooses to go west. Finding herself in Roswell, Lucy finds herself obsessed with aliens and controversy. When she meets a sexy stranger in the diner she works, she finds herself becoming distracted. Before she knows it, it feels like she is laying down roots. Its the last thing she wants but she feels the pull toward the people she has befriended. Can her yearn to learn about her father drive her to leave the last person she wants to leave?
I loved this book. Lucy is an incredible character. She is complex and entertaining. This is probably one of the most unique stories I have read this year. Putting a love story in the middle of Roswell and alien ideas is exciting and enthralling. Boone was a great hero for this story. He was so easy to like and fall for. For a character like Lucy, he is the only person for her. It isn’t just Lucy and Boone who are integral for this story to be fantastic. The setting and the friends and family surrounding her are so very important. They bring a depth to the story that just makes it more poignant. If you are looking for that unique story that will stick with you, you have found it in this one. Daisy Prescott has written yet another unforgettable story.
