Elise Kingston is a wanted woman. But that won’t stop her from returning home to America and exposing the man responsible for her daughter’s death. Not even clan chief Marcus MacGregor, who moves her heart, body, and soul will stand in her way.
Until she must choose between his life and her revenge.
I love a good historical romance like any other good romantic. This one definitely lives up to any romantics dream. You have a bit of intrigue, really hot highland laird, loss and then of course romance and love. Tarah has written a fantastic story. Marcus MacGregor and Elise Kingston are the perfect couple to fall in love. Marcus is undoubtedly smitten from the time he encounters Elise. But, Elise has secrets that she is trying to hide to protect the new-found home she has come to love. Elise’s independence and forthright attitude is a modern woman in a time and place when those traits are frowned upon. This tale of Highland love between a rough Highland laird and an American rebel is not only an adventure to read but will also allow the reader to experience the emotion on this roller coaster ride of a historical romance.
