Hel hath no fury like her Raven scorned…
Fallen Valkyrie Legionnaire, Raven Aquilus, has always known she was an outcast to her kind. Stuck
in New Orleans as the Protectress of the Nine Gates of Yggdrasil, she lives as close to the edge as her
family will allow. One fateful night would change it all – Someone ritualistically slaughtered a guardian in
one of her Gates, leaving Raven lying in a pool of blood. Ordered to find the killer before she dies along
with her precious guardians, Raven is placed in a race against time, being forced to enlist in the help
of a Human FBI paranormal agent. Together they must stop the serial murders before an ancient war
reignites – and Raven loses everything, including a new found love, all to a jealous half-breed …
Welcome the XIII Hour™ series. Betrayal, Lust, Love, Murder, Jealousy and Revenge. The faery-tales that
your mother never told you about just came true.
Review:
I really enjoyed this first book in the XIII Hour series. I loved Raven and Duncan. I loved the crews of both and i really enjoyed the scary stories about Raven. Compared to what you learn about her they are quite funny. The story and the characters come together is a wonderful blend. The writing itself is smooth and draws you in and keeps you interested until the last word. This was one of the few books that has ever talked about Valkyries. I enjoyed Blue Remy’s take on this paranormal character. The series is going to be a breathe of fresh air for the Paranormal Romance genre. I can really see this being quite a successful series. I really look forward to the next book in the XIII Hour Series.

Blue currently resides in the paranormal hub of the South with her husband, who feeds her gourmet coffee and cupcake addiction. Blue Remy is a member of The Paranormal Romance Guild.
