Day Eight of our celebration. Today I am reviewing Celia Kyle’s He Ain’t Lion from her Ridgeville series. This is a great paranormal romance that I discovered. I couldn’t stop myself with just the first book. I couldn’t help it. When it comes to sexy shifters I just gotta read the book. Its a very sexy, steamy read with some drama thrown in there for good measure. For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.
Book Blurb:
Life sucks… And then you get turned into a werelion…
Curvaceous, blonde bombshell Maya Josephs is looking for a little action to take her mind off of her recent break-up. Crazy werecats or not, an evening at Genesis is exactly what she needs. And when she meets the hotter than hot, super-sexy owner, Alex O’Connell, the alpha lion shifter is just the man to fit the bill for a one-night stand.
Dumped like a rotting piece of meat by her ex, Maya is on the prowl, fixin’ to do whatever it takes to get herself a piece of the gorgeous furball. Besides, what’s the harm in a girl having a little bit of fun?
Review:
Maya picked the wrong day to come to Genesis. This is there night for sexual inhibition. The only ones allowed to be privy to this ritual are the fellow shifters and those humans in the mix and willing to participate in these sexual evenings. Maya is none of that. So, when Maya is summoned to the owner’s office she doesn’t know what to expect. When Alex summons Maya he has all the intentions of throwing her out of the club. But, once he meets her he realizes that is the last thing he wants. Maya and Alex feel an attraction that pulls them together and she is so glad when he decides to let her stay. Not only stay but stay with him. Unfortunately, during the steamy evening Alex bites Maya and mates with her. All of a sudden Maya’s one night stand changes her life completely. Can Maya adapt to her new life or will she regret the little bit of fun she had with her lion?
I loved this story. This is definitely a great series to start reading. In this book you can already tell some of the stories and sexy shifters that will pop up in future books. I really loved the characters and the story. Maya and Alex are a wonderful couple. I think her feistiness is just what the alpha lion needs. The story itself is a wonderful beginning. It is this story and its characters that drove me to dive right into the second book. As a little spoiler to come the books are all connected in some way and you will see familiar faces. Overall, this is a great addition to the paranormal romance genre and it now a new series I am following. If you like sexy shifters and steamy sex scenes you will love Celia Kyle’s He Ain’t Lion.
