Howdy everyone! I know I have been MIA for a few days but I hope you are prepared cause I have been having a read-a-thon and will be having lots of books coming your way. Today, I finally ready Rule by Jay Crownover. This book has been on my TBR list and boy am I glad I got my greedy hands on this hot piece of fiction 🙂 I loved this book so much that I couldn’t wait to read the next and believe me I am in deep with this series. For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.
Book Blurb:
Shaw Landon loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule is everything a straight-A pre-med student like Shaw shouldn’t want—and the only person she’s never tried to please. She isn’t afraid of his scary piercings and tattoos or his wild attitude. Though she knows that Rule is wrong for her, her heart just won’t listen.
To a rebel like Rule Archer, Shaw Landon is a stuck-up, perfect princess-and his dead twin brother’s girl. She lives by other people’s rules; he makes his own. He doesn’t have time for a good girl like Shaw-even if she’s the only one who can see the person he truly is.
But a short skirt, too many birthday cocktails, and spilled secrets lead to a night neither can forget. Now, Shaw and Rule have to figure out how a girl like her and a guy like him are supposed to be together without destroying their love . . . or each other.
Review:
Shaw has always loved Rule. Rule hasn’t looked at Shaw as more than his brother’s girlfriend. But, after Shaw’s birthday full of cocktails, Rule sees first hand that he’s never really seen everything clearly. Shaw and Rule begin a tumultuous relationship that has more hurdles than an Olympic race. As Rule learns more and gets closer to Shaw he begins to panic and his old fears surface. Between Shaw’s secrets and Rule’s insecurities can they come together to share a love they both feel or will they let it all go without a backward glance?
I adored this book. Shaw was an awesome character. She was feisty in her own way and definitely wouldn’t put up with Rule’s shenanigans. Rule is the epitome of a sex god with tattoos and piercings. Their relationship burned through the pages of this book. It wasn’t just Shaw and Rule that made this book awesome. Their friends are some of the best parts of the story. I adored all of them and everything they added to the book. Jay Crownover’s writing and storytelling skill is fantastic. It’s definitely addictive and pulls you in and won’t let go. If you like sexy, tattooed and pierced guys with sassy girls you will love the Marked Men series.
