Review: Crossing the Line by Ally Bishop

Posted on September 28, 2015 by Jackie Paxson

Here we are another week beginning.  Today, I have another Ally Bishop novel for you.  This is the prequel to Inside the Lines that I reviewed a couple of weeks ago.  This is another sexy installment that will have you burning up the pages.  For my full review that will definitely start your week off on the right foot keep reading after the book blurb.

25708226Book Blurb:

I’ve never believed in love at first sight, which is probably why I write mysteries, and not romances, for a living. Besides, I’m too focused on expanding Elementary, a mystery dinner party business I own with my brother Noah. I don’t have time for romance.
When the handsome and successful Ian Crane books our services, I can barely keep my wits about me. He’s setting fire to all my rules, and I can’t resist his flames.
I don’t recognize the woman I’m becoming, but I don’t want to go back to who I was. There’s a part of me that can’t help wondering, what if he’s too good to be true? Because if he is, my heart will be nothing more than ashes.
Heat rating: Toasty warm, with plenty of flames

Review:

Ella is always the responsible one.  Her brother is the one that goes out and parties and has one-night stands.  Ella is focused on building her business.  That is until she meets Ian.  With one look at Ian she couldn’t focus.  Soon she is doing and saying things that she never thought she’d do.  She and Ian heat up quicker than she thought possible.  The one main thing is that he is a client and doesn’t want to tell anyone what they are doing until after his party.  Unfortunately, Ella’s naivete and Ian’s past comes head to head.  Can they get passed this hurdle or will this destroy their chances at a happily ever after?
I really liked this prequel.  I was a bit surprised that for the second book in this series it was a prequel.  None the less it was still a great addition to this series.  Ella and Ian’s story was so sweet and you really fall in love with these two.  It’s definitely different from Lux’s story, but it isn’t any less sexy or steamy.  This just has the added sweetness that Lux’s story didn’t necessarily have.  I truly can’t wait for the next in this series.  Ally Bishop has really become one of my fave erotic authors.  Her stories draw you in and won’t let go till the final page.
