Another Monday brings in another fantastic book. Today I am bringing to you a novella by Jody A. Kessler. It’s a Christmas novella with two EMT’s who finally find their way into each other’s arms. For my full review keep reading after the book blurb. Have a great week ahead!
Book Blurb:
Paramedics Treasure and Bodie arrive on scene at a routine emergency call and find an outrageous holiday party, a Christmas tree on fire, and an innocent life to save that nearly cost them their lives.
After escaping the chaos of work, they decide to spend their Christmas vacation together at a secluded lakeside cabin deep in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. With the snow falling soft, a warm fire in the hearth, and fresh cookies baking in the oven, an innocent holiday getaway quickly turns into a night of spontaneous passion with no strings attached.
Will Treasure and Bodie’s hasty decision to spend the night tumbling between the sheets – and on the table, and the floor – prove disastrous or will their relationship develop into something neither of them saw coming?
Review:
Treasure and Bodie have been partners for years. Treasure has never seen him as anything other than a partner. He has always been in a relationship and she is not one to mess with wives or girlfriends. But, on Christmas Eve, Treasure finds out they are now both single and begins to see Bodie in a new light. After a particularly difficult rescue, they find themselves on a mini trip away from everything. What isn’t planned is the satisfaction they find in each others arms. Will their friendship survive a night that will change everything?
I have been a fan of Jody A. Kessler since I read her book Death Lies between Us. I wasn’t sure what to expect with a contemporary romance novella. What I found was a fantastic story that left me begging for more. Treasure and Bodie’s one night of romance is one that any woman would want. We don’t really learn much about these characters except they have been friends and this is a leap for them on a holiday no one wants to be alone on. This is where I truly wish there was more to this story. I am hoping that this is just an appetizer for the real story between the two. I think there is a lot that needs to be explored and with this story we see their friendship, courage and passion. If you are looking for a novella that will have your kindle steaming up you will enjoy this story from Jody A. Kessler. Though I am not beyond begging Jody for more Treasure and shirtless Bodie.
Thank you for taking the time to read my novella! And for your wonderful review!!
