Today I get to share with you one of my favorite series. The Mercy Thompson series is exciting, funny and filled with paranormal. If you haven’t picked up any of this series I would highly recommend it. The newest addition to this series, Fire Touched pits Mercy and her mate, Adam against the fae. They vow to protect a special boy and with it they put themselves and the entire wolf pack in danger. For my full review keep reading after the book blurb. Have a great week ahead!
Book Blurb:
Tensions between the fae and humans are coming to a head. And when coyote shapeshifter Mercy and her Alpha werewolf mate, Adam, are called upon to stop a rampaging troll, they find themselves with something that could be used to make the fae back down and forestall out-and-out war: a human child stolen long ago by the fae.
Defying the most powerful werewolf in the country, the humans, and the fae, Mercy, Adam, and their pack choose to protect the boy no matter what the cost. But who will protect them from a boy who is fire touched?
Review:
Mercy and Adam have faced more than their fair share of danger. From Vampires to Fae to government agents, but when Mercy proclaims the werewolf pack the protectors of their area she causes more upheaval than planned. The young boy blessed with Fae abilities is on the run from the Fae. Mercy offering him sanctuary will put them in the crosshairs of the powerful Fae that want to use the boy for horrible tests. Will Adam and Mercy be able to keep themselves, the pack and the young boy safe without destroying everyone and everything they love?
I love this series. I adore Mercy and Adam’s relationship along with her with Zee and Tad. The more adventures or predicaments we see Mercy in the more devoted I become with these characters. This story was more of a building story rather than one of the more poignant ones in the series. That being said it doesn’t take anything away from the base characters or writing. This book like all the others was exciting, entertaining and we finally had something that needed to be done for quite a few books. I adore Patricia Briggs’ story writing skills. I truly can’t wait for the next Mercy Thompson book and if you haven’t picked up a Patricia Briggs book then I recommend starting with Moon Called, the first in the Mercy Thompson series. You are guaranteed to fall in love with Mercy, the tattooed, coyote walker, VW mechanic with the heart of gold.
