Review: Silent Sentry by Theresa Rizzo

Posted on May 27, 2016 by Jackie Paxson

Welcome to Friday!  I don’t know about you guys but it has been a long week.  So, today I get to share with you a new book by the wonderful Theresa Rizzo.  Silent Sentry is a suspenseful romance that has all the excitement and love you would want in a Theresa Rizzo book.  For my full review, keep reading after the book blurb.

29066141Book Blurb:

The Scarfilis and Donnatellis love deeply and protect fiercely. “Family takes care of family” is the code they live by.
So when a hacker threatens Gianna Donnatelli’s life, Dr. Joe Scarfili is determined to keep her safe, only he has no police or tech experience, and Gianna’s penchant for aiding Detroit’s underprivileged is the same kind of altruism that got his wife killed. Gianna protects Joe with the same unyielding resolve.
Gianna pushes all his insecurity buttons. Joe tries her patience like no other. But together they’ll fight to save each other and their love… Or die trying.

Review:

Gianna finds herself face to face with a burglar.  The next thing she knows is she is in the hospital and finds herself face to face with the one man she’s always had a crush on. When Joe learns what happened to one of his family’s friend’s daughter he knows he needs to step in and help her until she feels safe.  Unfortunately, her new company has opened her up to danger that is mafia based.  As Gianna and Joe become closer so do the dangers around them.  Can they come together and save each other or will the forces against them win?
This was such an exciting read.  I really couldn’t wait to see what happened next to Gianna and Joe.  Their story was wonderfully told with a great blend of romance and intrigue.  Gianna and Joe’s romance was so natural.  I really enjoyed their individual back stories along with their familial connection.  The depth of both of them allowed the suspense to flow with their relationship and those with the other characters.  Though everything came naturally the answers to the major questions were elusive up until the end.  That really made this book a great choice for anyone who loves a good suspenseful romance.  After reading yet another wonderful Theresa Rizzo book I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
