Three spell-binding romantic mysteries in one romance boxed set
Book One: Palace of Deception
From the heat of the Mediterranean….
When the Princess of Montverrier goes missing, Lizzie Smith takes on the acting job of her life. Alone and surrounded by intrigue in the Royal Palace, she relies on her quiet bodyguard, Léon. But who is he really protecting? Lizzie…or the Princess?
Book Two: The Scottish Diamond
To the heart of Scotland…
Home in Scotland, Lizzie begins rehearsals for Macbeth and finds danger stalking her through the streets of Edinburgh. She turns to her former bodyguard, Léon, for help…and discovers a secret he’d do anything not to reveal.
Epilogue: A Question by Torchlight (A Short Story)
A story of mystery and romance…
The approach of Hogmanay in Edinburgh means a new year and new resolutions. Lizzie and Léon have put their year of danger behind them. But something is still troubling Léon, and Lizzie fears the worst…
When Lizzie is offered an opportunity that she can’t pass up she snatches at it with both hands. What she doesn’t expect is how this will change her life forever. Meeting Léon is only one of things that this adventure has in store for her. From the moment she accepts the job of impersonating the princess of Montverrier, Lizzie is thrown into the intrigue and mysteries of the palace. What she doesn’t expect is that even after her job is done that back in Scotland it will still find her. Can Lizzie and Léon survive the betrayal and intrigues associated with Montverrier?
I really liked this set of stories. They were very well written with characters that are memorable. The idea behind the stories was unique. I loved that Montverrier was a continued theme. It made the three stories truly connected. The three stories are quick reads that would be great for anyone looking to get roped into a stories but not have the time for large book. The mystery and bit of romance really connects the reader to the characters. If you are looking for a good set of characters with an engrossing story but don’t have the time to commit to a series or long book, this book is the one for you. You won’t regret picking this up.
