Review: Below Deck by Tara Sivec

Posted on March 6, 2017 by Jackie Paxson

As most of you know by now I have a huge fan of Tara Sivec.  I have been privileged enough to now be on her reviewers list.  You will get to see all her stuff before it comes out.  So today, I get to bring to you her newest book, Below Deck.  You will love the humor, sexy talk and an addictive story that will have you turned the page faster to see what happens next.  For my full review keep reading after the book blurb.

33226657Book Blurb:

Declan McGillis can’t stand rich people. But working as a deckhand on a luxury charter yacht, he also can’t escape them. Declan has spent years kissing their ass and doing their bidding…whatever it takes to make his dreams come true, and nothing will get in his way of being the captain of his own yacht one day.
Mackenzie Armstrong knows what people think when they look at her. She knows from the outside looking in, it seems like her family has it all and doesn’t have a care in the world. Things aren’t always what they seem, and not only does Mackenzie have the weight of her family’s struggles on her shoulders, she also needs to prove to Declan that she’s not the spoiled princess he believes her to be.
Declan can’t ignore the sparks of lust between them, even though Mackenzie is completely off limits and absolutely out of his league.
Mackenzie thinks a vacation fling is just what she needs to forget about the mess her life has become, and Declan is the perfect man for the job.
Will this be a quick romp in the water, or will it turn into something more when Mackenzie finally gets below Deck?

Review:

Declan is just buying his time until he can pass his captain’s exam and run his own ship.  He doesn’t need any distractions.  What he doesn’t count on is the weatlhy Mackenzie to step aboard his ship.  Figuring she is just another trust fund princess he tries to push her and his attraction to her away.  But, when their attraction over comes them both can they overcome their misconceptions and find happiness with each other?
I love Tara Sivec books.  They always seem to end too quickly.  Like most of her characters they mostly have no filter and you instantly love them for their cander.  the love story between Declan and Mackenzie is part Pride and Prejudice and part steamy erotic novel of your choice.  The story is fantastic and quite relatable.  I think anyone reading this will want to go on a yacht just to meet a very sexy deckhand or captain or chef.  The setting is gorgeous and will have you going on travelocity to see how much a Caribbean trip will be.  Overall, when you pick this book up you will not put it down til the very end.  I can’t wait for the next wonderful Tara Sivec book to come out.
