SECOND CHANCE GIRL Synopsis:

From the #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Susan Mallery, read the second irresistible installment in the Happily Inc series!

Mathias Mitchell’s easy smile hides a world of hurt. After the worst kind of family betrayal, he moves to Happily Inc., California—the wedding destination town supplies a steady stream of bridesmaids, perfect for his “no promises, no pain” lifestyle. Yet he can’t stop watching for his beautiful, elusive neighbor on the animal preserve behind their homes.

Gamekeeper Carol Lund knows she’s not special enough to attract an alpha male like Mathias, so his offer to help her adopt a herd for her lonely giraffe is surprising—and his determined seduction, even more so. But just as she finally welcomes him into her bed, his careless actions crush her heart. Will she give him a second chance to prove she’ll always come first in his heart?

Don’t miss You Say It First, the first book in the Happily Inc series.

Review:

Carol is soully focused on her animals in her preserve.  That is except for the sexy glass artist that lives right down the road.  Though she knows he’d never go for her because he is caught up with the revolving door of bridesmaids.  Mathias finds himself completely infatuated with Carol.  He won’t even think about going further than friends.  That is until he realizes he can’t stop thinking of her.  When Carol and Mathias finally find their way together will they be able to jump the many hurdles or will Mathias fall back to his bridesmaids way?

I loved this book.  Mathias and Carol were fantastic characters.  They really drew you in and wouldn’t let go.  Not to mention the animal sidekicks in Sophie and Millie.  I have to say though, I think one of the best things about this love story was that there was more than one.  Not only Carol and Mathias but also Carol’s sister, Violet, finds love also.  It really was a fantastic addition.  Carol and Mathias are complete opposites in the way they were raised.  The emotion that is brought to you by the illustration of Mathias’ relationship with his twin, Ronan and his father really bring the deep feelings.  You get a taste of it in You Say it First but in Second Chance Girl we really see how much pain Mathias hides and how hurtful his family is.  If you are looking for a great romance with another romance inside you will want to pick this up today.
