Escape is a standalone novel, the third book in the Getaway series, which features the hardheaded and brokenhearted Warner brothers and the women who dare to love them. These boys are very good at putting the wild in wilderness.
Review:
Lane is the last of the Warner brothers to find love. His love has been in front of him all along. When Brynne is asked to marry another man, Lane runs away. He can’t stay when he knows they should be together. The last thing he expects is to have Brynne chase after him. Brynne knows the only man she will ever want will be Lane. She knows her home is with the Warners, but will she and Lane finally admit their feelings or will they continue on broken hearted?
This is another winner by Jay Crownover. The third Lane brother has been one I have been waiting for. His and Brynne’s story was probably one of the most romantic Jay Crownover stories I have read. She does add in her trademark suspense and thrill within the romance but the romance definitely took center stage. Lane and Brynne’s story really ended this series with a bang. It was definitely unique to them and equally sweet and thrilling. I really enjoyed the addition of Cameron too. I think it was definitely something that both Lane and Brynne needed. I loved how the youngest Warner brother had one of the best stories. Another aspect of this book in this series was seeing quite a few familiar Denver faces. Those who have read the Marked Men and The point series’ will know who I’m talking about when they show up. If you haven’t picked up this series yet or even a Jay Crownover book, then you need to NOW. You don’t know what you are missing. I hope that Ten and Webb get their HEA. I know their story will be something else.
