Today, I get to bring to you one of my favorite authors. Her unique humor, unfiltered way of writing and natural story telling makes me love every book I read by her. Tara Sivec’s newest series, The Naughty Princess Club, goes back to her hilarious dialogue like that in her Chocolate lovers series. I guarentee with this one book you will become a fan as I am. Keep reading after the blurb for my full review.
Book Blurb:
Meet the Naughty Princess Club: a brand new series from USA Today bestselling author Tara Sivec that introduces readers to Fairytale Lane and the hilarity—and romance—that ensue when three women start a new business to make it rain.
Once upon a time Cynthia was the perfect housewife. Between being the President of the PTA and keeping her home spotless without a hair (or her pearls) out of place, her life was a dream come true. Her husband was once her knight in shining armor, but now he’s run off with all their money…and the babysitter.
Dressed as a princess at the annual Halloween block party on Fairytale Lane, she meets two other “princesses” also facing money troubles: antique store owner Ariel and librarian Isabelle. When the women are invited to wear their costumes to a party where they’re mistaken for strippers, Cindy, Ariel, and Belle realize that a career change could be the best way to make their money problems go bippity-boppity-boo.
But can structured Cindy approach a stripper pole without sanitizing wipes? And could the blue-eyed anti-prince that has been crossing her path become Cindy’s happily ever after? At the Stroke of Midnight is a hilarious, empowering story where princesses can save themselves while slaying in stilettos.
Review:
Cindy is the picture perfect housewife and PTA mom. Unfortunately, this is only a facade. She is barely holding onto her house, her sanity and her daughter. She knows she needs to get a job and soon. When she meets Ariel in a very memorable way the two develop a very unique friendship and business plan. What Cindy doesn’t account for is PJ. His sexiness is overwhelming. What really appalls her is that he is an owner of a strip club. How could she possibly be involved in that kind of life? When you are really down and out is when you discover who you are and what you’re made of.
This is already my favorite book of the year. Cindy, Ariel and Belle had me laughing outloud like I was a lunatic. They are relatable characters that really have no filters and really don’t care. Tara Sivec writes humor and romance like no other author. The Naughty Princess Club is definitely going to be the new thing women want to do. Instead of book clubs its going to be strip clubs (pun intended). Not only is the dialogue fantastic but the character development is up there with the best of dramas. Seeing Cindy become who she becomes is amazing. Not to mention the very sexy PJ and their sexy times make kindles steam up. If you haven’t picked up a Tara Sivec book, you need to start with this one.
