Book Blurb:
SHE’S GOT CURB APPEAL
Rian Sutter grew up with the finer things in life. Spending summers in The Hamptons was a normal occurrence for her until her parents lost everything years ago. Now Rian and her sister are getting their life, and finances, back on track through real estate. Not only do they buy and sell houses to the rich and famous, but they finally have the capital to flip their very own beachfront property. But when she inadvertently catches the attention of a sexy stranger who snaps up every house from under her, all bets are off…
HE’S A FIXER UPPER
Pierce Whitfield doesn’t normally demo kitchens, install dry wall, or tear apart a beautiful woman’s dreams. He’s just a down-on-his-luck lawyer who needed a break from the city and agreed to help his brother work on a few homes in the Hamptons. When he first meets Rian, the attraction is undeniable. But when they start competing for the same pieces of prime real estate, the early sparks turn into full-blown fireworks. Can these passionate rivals turn up the heat on their budding romance — without burning down the house?
Review:
Rian grew up with the finer things in life. Unfortunately, thanks to her dad her and her sister have a much more difficult life. Her dream is to get a house and flip it so they can get back a piece of their past. She definitely doesn’t count on meeting Pierce. Pierce is only around for the summer and lay low from his job as a lawyer. Neither of them expects the heat that burns between the two of them. Can they get past their own problems to see the happiness in front of them?
This was a fantastic book. It was addictive from the first page. I don’t think they couldn’t have met in a more unique way. Rian and the complete opposite of Pierce, it even says so on their dating profiles. As their chemistry grows so does the doubt that they are so different. As Rian and Pierce’s characters deepen so does the complexity of the story. Not only is this a romantic story about flipping houses but it is quite funny. Rian’s awkwardness and Pierce’s inability to take no for an answer really spurs this story on. Like two magnets they keep being pulled back together. Helena Hunting in her unique and fun writing style really gives the reader a story they won’t want to put down or forget. I can’t wait to read the next one by her.
