Ashton has given up on men. After her douche of an ex cheated on her she is finished with men. All she wants to do is renovate her grandmother’s old home to make it into a B&B. She doesn’t expect to kiss a sexy man on a whim at a bar who doesn’t return when he said he would. But, when the sexy man appears on her doorstep the next day as the guy who will renovate her home she is thrown for a loop. Jax doesn’t expect to see the sexy Ashton again. Let alone have her effect him the way she does. As the sexual tension simmers between them so does the things left unsaid. Will Jax and Ashton survive the lies or will nothing get made over?
I adored this book. This was a fun read. Jax and Ashton were so steamy you could practically feel it through the pages. It isn’t just them that makes this book so good. Mrs. C, Rufus, JC van Ram and Lulu will make you laugh out loud. This story is a mix of Property Brothers and Modern Family. You will laugh out loud at the shenanigans of JC van Ram and you will swoon at the idea of Jax using the hammer shirtless. You will also see the typical romance and the trials of lies and trust. With all good stories the happily ever after will be well worth the read. If you are looking for another great summer read with quirky characters and mouthy birds, then look no further.
